BIAS-ARCH An interpretive framework

A map of what
you reach for.

BIAS-ARCH describes two things underneath personality: what a person reaches for, and how they let other people reach them. It is written down in full, and it is open to question.

There is nothing to sign up for and nothing to score. Read it here, turn the shape over yourself, or put a question to the man who wrote it.

A note from the author

Hi. I’m Donny Vanker.

What you are reading is an experimental interpretive framework that explores that architecture in you. It surfaces how you currently reach, how you currently receive, where the tensions live, and where the trust is heading.

It is a reflective read, not a verdict. It does not tell you who you are. It tells you what a pattern suggests, and leaves the reading of it to you.

What rings true is yours to keep. What does not is yours to set aside. The reading is a starting place for your own reflection, not an answer to who you should be. There is no right or wrong, just clarity on what is happening in your life right now. Take your time. Ask me anything.

What it measures

Six things measured.

Every reading the framework makes is one of these six. Each is defined in full — open any of them to read the definition, not a summary of it.

The shape

Four corners.
Six edges.
Four faces.

Every part of the framework sits somewhere on this figure. Turn it over, and click anything on it — a corner, an edge, a face — to read what that piece means.

What it describes

Four things a person reaches for.
Four ways they let others in.

The first half is about longing. Everyone reaches for belonging — to be known and loved without condition. For importance — to contribute, and to matter. For agency — to act from their own direction. And for security — to stand on ground that holds.

All four are legitimate. What differs, between people and between seasons, is the weight each one carries.

The second half is about trust, because reaching is only half of a life. Paired with each longing is a capacity — what somebody has to show you before you let them in. Heart, for belonging. Abilities, for importance. Counsel, for agency. Regularity, for security.

Where the four pull against each other, the framework reads the tension. Where one is set down under pressure, it reads the face that remains. Neither is a verdict.

What it is not

Not a personality test.
Not a behavior profile.

It reads something deeper underneath both: what drives you, and how you decide to trust other people. Those shape what you do long before any of it shows on the surface.

It is not It is
A box that sorts you A map you can grow with
A score of what you do A read of why you do it
A diagnosis or a verdict A mirror you can question
A hiring, clinical, or legal tool A personal reflection, made for you
